On my 'grand journey' from Brisbane to Sydney I thought "damn Sydney, you big!" and was all kind of "what if I get lost!" or "what if I get mugged like Jonny" but it turns out if you dont leave Surry Hills the entire time, you'll be fine! Surry Hills has a variety of 'hot spots' and I cant remember the name of some of them, so i'll just describe them if I need to!

The Modular office's are a pretty happening place (I can't 'disclose the location'), it has all the V a man could drink, giant neon signs and a disco ball in the corner. Also it's kind of just a 'bunch of bros' 'ribbing' each other whilst also throwing around some 'mad' ideas.

Lunch is a pretty 'big deal' in Surry Hills, seems like it's bigger than dinner maybe. Maybe. 'Slow Sandwiches' or 'Crack Sandwhiches' (the tandoori one) is probably the greatest sandwich 'ever'. I think pitchfork would probably give the sandwich a '9.0'/'best new music' and the sandwich would be on like one of their tv special things. I don't know what Polaroids of Androids would give it, probably a 7.6. There's also a place that has $10 schnitzels and who doesn't like things that are $10?

Speaking of which, "Shakey's" has a mad selection of $10 meals that are at least $18 in quality. The whole place has this 'old school' aesthetic, 'pre adobe photoshop' probably. Combined with cans of coke for '99 cents', there's some true "listening to Notorious B.I.G, riding your fixie to play Super Smash Brothers at a friends house" prices going on in Surry Hills.

After a hard afternoon of blogging/idea creation/winning twitter, some Beers could be needed. There are usually a few floating around the office but for an authentic experience 'The Cricketers Arm' or 'coopers red tallies on the balcony of your terrace' will really help you 'chill'.

As far as live music goes, I dont remember Bar 77 that well, except I think the Beasties Boys or Nas were there? Also The Vivian Girls played a show on a roundabout near where I was staying. Is this a regular occurrence? Confused. Seems like everyone in Surry Hills is either a DJ or 'dating a DJ' so some rad tunes are sure to be spun.

Overall it seems like Surry Hills is a place you can 'really find yourself' in/not leave for a few years and then be really confused/scared of the outside world.
